Rhinos is extremely proud to launch its first-ever netball session just for boys!

On March 7th at Tong Leadership Academy, 12-1 pm, Rhinos will hold a free of charge taster session for any Junior boys aged 7 to 12 years who are keen to give netball a try. Asides to netball basics including throwing and catching, positions and footwork, there will be lots of fun games on offer plus a few surprises in store for our budding ballers! Those who enjoy the session can then choose to sign up to train weekly and continue to learn skills useful to netball while also transferable to other sports.

Netball has featured in many UK primary schools - for girls and boys - for a number of years, and becomes more scarce in senior schools. While the nation is a long way off reaching the same heights as Australia and New Zealand, men's netball clubs and leagues are increasing in number and participation is beginning to grow, which is creating a need for the sport to expand at a grassroots level. On receiving a number of enquiries from the parents and carers of boys wanting to play netball in a non-mixed environment, Rhinos created the new For Boys session to fulfill the requirement and see more juniors across Yorkshire engaging in this fast-growing sport.
