Are your dreams filled with netball? Running court-wide, passing the ball at top speed? Or shooting that winning goal in the game’s final seconds like our national team did to win Commonwealth Gold? This is where it all starts.
Aimed at primary-aged children, Mini Netball is designed to teach athletes all of the basics in netball – throwing, catching, footwork and positions – and further developing these core skills to enhance their experience during match play. Sessions are suitable whether a child is completely new to the game and picking up their first ever Gilbert ball, or familiar with netball through playing in school or with a junior club and is keen to improve. It’s fun, inclusive and a fantastic way to keep your child active.
Minis (for 5-8 year olds) – 45minute classes including basic movement skills and body management, catching and passing the ball, plus fun games and activities in small groups
Mini Juniors (for 9-10 year olds) – 1hour classes where we introduce more netball into our delivery including footwork, attacking, defending and shooting, with players taught on positional responsibility and High Five netball rules.
Mini U12s (for 11-12 year olds) – 1hour classes where players are either netball regulars in school and/or club needing to develop their technique and understanding of core skills such as attacking, defending, shooting and positional; or, they’re moving to Yr 7 and starting the 7-a-side game.
Classes run across Yorkshire on Fridays and Saturdays – click on a venue to find out more.
